The Perks Of Visiting Disney In The Spring

Flower and Garden

Springtime brings flowers, sunshine, breezy mornings, and color all around. It is a time of rebirth, growth, and new beginnings. The best time to visit Disney parks is during this refreshing season. But, why? In this article, I will be stating 3 reasons why this is the perfect time to pay Mickey Mouse a visit. Let’s get started!

 1. Special ticket offers

During the spring months, there are great offers given to both Florida residents and visitors for the Walt Disney World theme parks. For example, starting April 2nd, 2024, you can purchase a 3 or 4-day park ticket for only $73 (plus tax) per day. This is a great deal as it gives you the opportunity to visit at a lower rate. For those who visit from other countries or states, there is a 4-park Magic ticket available which goes for $99 per day, per park; or a 3-day, 3-park ticket for $89 per day. This is a great opportunity and should be taken advantage of during these months.

2. Weather

My fellow Floridians understand the struggles of Florida’s complicated weather/climate. However, during the spring months, the weather is significantly cooler, especially in Central Florida. The weather ranges from 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit, not too cold, not too hot, which is perfect to explore the parks. In California, most locals would agree that the beginning months of spring, such as March and April, make for beautiful scenery and enjoyable weather. Most guests state that other Disney parks, located outside of the country, are adorned with springtime flowers and sunshine during these months.

3. Spring festivals

Disney is known for its many festivals, held at different intervals during the year. For the spring season, we have the most notorious: Epcot’s International Flower and Garden festival, from Feb. 28- May 27, 2024. The festival showcases beautiful gardens, Disney character topiaries, delightful fresh foods, live entertainment, as well as different activities to celebrate the spring. Disney California Adventure also joins in on the fun with the Adventure Food & Wine festival, held March 1- April 22, 2024. The festival features creative foods and beverages, as well as cooking classes, all based on the mixed cultures, traditions and foods found in California. An additional festival to point out, which begins towards the end of the floral season, but still rich in color, is the Pixar Fest at Disneyland Resort. The festival’s influence will debut a new daytime parade in Disney’s California Adventure Park and features new Disney characters, such as Mei Lee from Turning Red and Ember and Wade from Elemental. There will also be a new,“emotional,” nighttime show in Disneyland Park. The festival features colorful foods, décor, and new merch, inspired by the celebration.

While most guests fear the springtime in Disney due to the spring break crowds, it is without a doubt a great season to be immersed in the magic. Try to plan accordingly, avoiding the school vacation weeks. Try to go at the end of February, March and beginning of April. I guarantee that visiting Disney in the spring will be unforgettable. I hope this article helps you, dear reader, reconsider spring as your new favorite time of year to visit Disney.
