The Best Non-Alcoholic Beverages At Disneyland

You don’t need alcohol to have a great drink at Disneyland! Whether you’re looking for something sweet, refreshing, or simply a fun way to take a break from the crowds, both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure have plenty of non-alcoholic options worth seeking out. Here are three of my favorites to add to your next park day.

Iced Honey Matcha at Schmoozies!

If you’re a matcha fan, make your way to Schmoozies! in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure for the Iced Honey Matcha Tea. The drink is made with honey cold foam and topped with honey cereal, making it much more indulgent than your average matcha.

This one is definitely on the sweeter side, so it’s not necessarily the pick for someone looking for a traditional, earthy matcha. Instead, think of it as a matcha milkshake in drink form. It’s incredibly creamy and feels more like a dessert than a simple afternoon pick-me-up. If you like your matcha sweet and decadent, this is one to try.

Strawberry-Matcha Popsicle at Carthay Circle Lounge

For something a little more elevated, head to Carthay Circle Lounge on Buena Vista Street. The Strawberry-Matcha Popsicle combines strawberry elixir with matcha cold foam, creating a drink-and-dessert combination that is as pretty as it is refreshing. While the actual drink part of the beverage is more on the bitter-matcha side, the popsicle perfectly balances it out by being a bit sweeter in contrast.

But part of what makes this stop worthwhile is the setting. Carthay Circle Lounge offers a much quieter, more elegant atmosphere than many of the quick-service locations throughout the park. The Carthay Circle building itself is filled with details inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age and Walt Disney history, making it a fun place to slow down for a bit.

Reservations are recommended, but Carthay Circle Lounge also offers a mobile walk-up list when available, so it’s worth checking the Disneyland app even if you didn’t plan ahead.

New Orleans Mint Julep

No list of Disneyland drinks would be complete without the classic Mint Julep. Found at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square, this non-alcoholic drink has been a Disneyland favorite for years. The current version is a refreshing mint drink with a hint of lime, making it an especially good choice on a hot California day.

Even better, the Mint Julep Bar is a quick-service walk-up window, so you don’t need a dining reservation to grab one. Pair it with Mickey-shaped beignets and you have one of the most quintessential Disneyland snack breaks possible. Both can be mobile-ordered via the Disneyland app.

The Disney Parks are constantly adding new beverage offerings to their parks and resorts. We can anticipate a new lineup of food and beverage offerings at the Disneyland Resort as their 70th anniversary celebration offerings fade away and are replaced by fresh offerings. Whether you’re a matcha enthusiast or prefer a Disneyland classic, these three drinks prove that some of the best refreshments in the parks and resorts don’t always require alcohol.
