Disney World food is the best kind of food! Sometimes, you just can’t get enough. Maybe I wanted more Mickey Waffles! That’s where the incredible “Family Style” restaurants come in to play. These sit down venues, feature menu options known as “All You Care To Enjoy”. Want more of something? Just ask, and you’ll be so full you might miss your next Lightning Lane! There’s a great variety to try out, so here are some of the best!
‘Ohana
To some people, ‘Ohana means family. To me, ‘Ohana is the most solid choice for Family Style dining at Walt Disney World. Located in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, ‘Ohana is not only Family Style, but also character dining! You’ll see familar faces like Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch! During breakfast, you’ll find your typical Disney breakfast foods. All you care to enjoy Mickey Waffles, Hawaiian Style Ham, Island style Potatoes, Scrambled Eggs, and Pork Sausage links! This is followed by the BEST bread served on property, the Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread.
Breakfast is wonderful, but Dinner is the star of the show. You have not lived until you finding yourself ordering your third helping of ‘Ohana’s famous noodles. Accompanued by Teriyaki Beef, Shrimp, Grilled Chicken, and Stir-fry Vegetables. If you choose one family style meal during your visit, ‘Ohana will be my reccomendation every time. Breakfast will run you $49 per adult and $30 per child, while dinner is set at $62 for Adults and $40 for the kiddos.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
As someone who visits Walt Disney World almost weekly, there’s not much that surprises me anymore. This was until I saw the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. Not only is it a great family style dining choice, with unlimited fried chicken and BOTTOMLESS chocolate milk (and select alcoholic beverages for the parents). Hoop-Dee-Doo is not only an all you care to enjoy dining venure, but it is also home to one of, if not the best dinner show I have ever seen. It is a high energy, delightful performance from the extremely talented Pioneer Hall Players. The whole family is sure to enjoy the meal and show while leaving you all with a great memory (and a VERY full stomach). Price varies depending on which seating section you choose, ranging from $66-74 for Adults (Ages 10 and older) and Kids (Ages 3-9) costing anywhere from $39-44
Liberty Tree Tavern
Picture this. It’s Thanksgiving dinner, but it never ends. The turkey keeps coming and the stuffing never stops. If this sounds like a fever dream during a food induced coma, I can assure you it is not! The Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square is home to Liberty Tree Tavern, which Disney describes as a “colonial-style inn serving traditional New England-inspired fare”. Turkey, Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, it’s truly the never ending holiday dinner you’ve always wanted. Thankfully however, this time you can avoid your in-laws (unless you brought them with you, in that case… order extra dessert you deserve it).
The stand out here is the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake, which just thinking of it has me wanting to book the next possible reservation while I write this. Unlimited dessert? This is why they call it the MAGIC Kingdom. Both lunch and dinner are priced the same, with adults looking to spend $42 a person and kids set at $23.
