In honor of Stitch Day on June 26, Disney decided to unveil a thrilling surprise – the challenge theme for the 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend!
Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge
Introducing Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge, a highlight of the upcoming runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. Drawing inspiration from Disney Animation’s Lilo & Stitch, participants in this challenge will race to complete all three events – the 5K, 10K, and 10-Miler – during the weekend. Those who succeed will be awarded a special medal commemorating the magic of togetherness.
In April of 2024, prepare for an extraordinary adventure at the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, where runners can participate in exhilarating races, encounter enchanting characters, and embark on magical journeys throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. And since adventures are best enjoyed with loved ones, gather your family and friends for this unforgettable experience.
Registration Dates
While Disney has not released official dates as of yet, registration has historically taken place in late August to early September. The currently rumored registration date is between August 22nd and August 23rd, but we will be sure to keep you up to date on the DVC Shop blog once official registration dates are announced.
Race Dates
Although official dates have not been announced, most runners are expecting these races to take place from April 18th, 2024 to April 21st, 2024. Check back on the DVC Shop blog to get all the up-to-date information as they become officially announced!
