Looking for a getaway with your sweetheart this upcoming Valentine’s Day? Disney World is a great getaway for families and couples during the month of February. Not only is winter a great time to travel to Florida because of the mild weather, but it is also a romantic time for couples to treat themselves to a Valentine’s Day vacation. Valentine’s Day will fall on a Friday in 2025, and is followed by Presidents Day the following Monday which makes for perfect timing for a long weekend vacation. If you plan on traveling to Disney World for Valentine’s Day in 2025 then here are some ideas on how to spend your time.
Disney After Hours
If you are looking for something special to splurge on then consider purchasing tickets for one of the Disney After Hours events running in February. On select nights during the first few months of the year the Disney parks offer a fun ticketed event called Disney After Hours. During these events guests can enter the park as early as 7pm and stay in the park as late as 1am. Because of reduced capacity, the lines for attractions are greatly reduced which means guests can have fun experiencing rides and shows with little to no wait. In addition to this, popcorn, ice cream bars, and some bottled beverages are available and included in the cost of admission. Character meet and greets will be occurring as well. If you are interested in these events then head over to Disney’s website and purchase your tickets as soon as you are able to as these events will sell out!
Romantic Restaurants
A romantic meal is a must during Valentine’s Day! Some of our favorite romantic restaurants include California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT, Boathouse at Disney Springs, and Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Guests should note that Valentine’s Day reservations will book quickly, and advance dining reservations should be made as soon as possible.
Valentine’s Day Treats
Like other seasons and times of year, Disney World will have Valentine’s Day themed treats for sale throughout the parks. Some examples of last year’s treats include the Sweet Heart Cookie at Contempo Cafe: a sugar cookie with heart sprinkles topped with cream cheese buttercream, red velvet cake pieces and heart, and a drizzle of dark chocolate.
Spa Day and Other Extras
Booking a couple’s massage at one of the many spas on Disney property is an excellent way to spend Valentine’s Day, and a great way to enjoy a break from the busy parks. The Grand Floridian Spa offers services like massages, body services, manicures, pedicures, and more.
