What Is The Sassagoula River Cruise?

The Sassagoula River Cruise is a complimentary water transportation service at Walt Disney World. This service provides guests with transport from the Port Orleans resorts down the river to Disney Springs, offering a unique and scenic alternative to buses and monorails.

This service connects various points within Disney World, including Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney Springs.

The ferry boats operate on a daily schedule, usually from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, every 20 minutes. However, this is subject to weather conditions. Known for its relaxing ambiance, the Sassagoula River Cruise offers a tranquil journey through the resort’s waterways, and is an excellent way to get to Disney Springs from the resorts along the river.
