Beds / Occupancy
While the maximum occupancy is identical for either studio room type at 5 guests, there is a bit of difference in how the beds are arranged within the room.
Resort Studios At Grand Floridian
The Resort Studio sleeps up to 5 guests with 2 queen-size beds, as well as 1 single pull-down bed. Having a second queen-sized bed that doesn’t require being opened up and made each night could be seen as a benefit, but it does steal a bit of space from the floor plan to not fold the bed away within a couch.
Deluxe Studios At Grand Floridian
The Deluxe Studio sleeps up to 5 guests with 1 queen-size bed, 1 queen-size pull-down bed, as well as 1 single pull-down bed. Like we mentioned above, it can be nice to have the space back after folding up the second queen-sized bed into the sleeper sofa, but it is an added task at the end of each day to fold the bed open and prepare it for sleeping.
Views
Both studio room types at Grand Floridian offer the standard and lake views, but the new Resort Studios in the newly-added Big Pine Key building, offer a new theme park view as well. Based on the points charts for Grand Floridian, these new Resort Studios are the only room type that guarantees a theme park view. Pair that view with a balcony, and that could be a wondrous place to soak in the Magic Kingdom fireworks show each night!
View Type | Resort Studio | Deluxe Studio |
---|---|---|
Standard View | Yes | Yes |
Lake View | Yes | Yes |
Theme Park | Yes | No |
# of Points

Resort Studios At Grand Floridian
The new decor of the Big Pine Key building, where the 202 new studios are held, is quite exquisite! Besides the obvious update of new furniture and appliances, Disney has brought a new teal-blue-green color palette with golden and wooden accents throughout the villas.
Deluxe Studios At Grand Floridian
While the new Resort Studio has an updated design, the Victorian elegance of the Deluxe Studio is sure to catch your eye as well. This room type more closely fits the theme that is used throughout the rest of the resort, and features more of a classical Victorian look.
