Disney Vacation Club has announced that the new DVC exchange provider is now Interval International. Disney’s new exchange agreement with Interval International will be replacing the one they had with RCI. DVC’s switch to Interval International as their exchange company will be occurring on January 1, 2022.
This new change means that DVC owners will be able to trade with a new selection of resorts that are available through Interval International. Although points that have already been deposited into RCI will be honored until 2023, owners will need to use Interval International to book stays at non DVC resorts starting at the beginning of next year.
Disney Vacation Club members were brought this news via an email from DVC. The email included all important dates for members to be aware of and looked something like this:
As stated in the email, Interval International offers a large variety of exotic destinations all over the world, with resorts in 80 different countries, perfect for those Disney Vacation Club members who wish to broaden their travel horizons every now and again. If there is a dream destination that you have on your must see list, this exchange company change may bring you the opportunity to do so.
Interval International actually preceded RCI as Disney Vacation Club’s exchange company. Interval International was the exchange company that DVC worked with back in 1995, and we are sure many will be glad to see this relationship renewed.
If you are a Disney Vacation Club member who prefers to stay in Disney properties, this change will not affect your vacations in any way. It simply adds extra options in case you ever wish to travel elsewhere. For those that do wish to trade with Interval International, DVC owners will have extremely high trading power with their DVC points and gain access to all of the deluxe accommodations that are offered.
