Must-Do’s For Teens At Magic Kingdom

Disney World is a great vacation destination for families with children of all ages, including teenagers. Magic Kingdom is the epitome of Disney magic and this is felt by guests of any age. There are several things to do at Magic Kingdom that can be enjoyed by the entire family, and several attractions that teens in particular might enjoy. If you have an upcoming vacation planned to Disney World with your family then be sure to check out these must-do’s for teens at Magic Kingdom.

Tron Lightcycle Run

Magic Kingdom’s newest roller coaster is located in Tomorrowland. With a height requriement of 48 inches or taller, this roller coaster allows guests to enter “the grid” of Tron. Guests are seated on a bike during this attraction, and with a high-speed launch and outdoor sections of track, this is Disney’s fastest roller coaster ever. If you or your teen is a thrill-seeker then Tron Lightcycle Run is an absolute must-do.

Space Mountain

This classic attraction hasn’t lost its thrill throughout the years. Space Mountain is a roller coaster that takes place entirely indoors and uses lighting and other special effects to convey the feeling of flying through outer space. This attraction has a height requriement of 42 inches or taller and features sudden drops, tight turns, and twists.

Tom Sawyer Island

Don’t miss your opportunity to enjoy this attraction! Tom Sawyer Island is a unique immersive experience that is expected to close sometime next year to make room for new experiences. Guests board a river raft to get to this island in Frontierland. Once you land, you are free to explore this attraction at your leisure. Guests will find several paths, bridges, caves, and even a fort. The spirit of adventure is alive on Tom Sawyer Island, and teens will especially enjoy exploring here.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction is located in Frontierland. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a flume-style attraction that tells a new tale of Tiana and other characters from The Princess and the Frog film. Join Tiana as she searches for band of critters for her restaurant celebration. Guests 40 inches or taller can experience several drops, audio-animatronics and other scenery, and a splashing good time.

Swiss Family Treehouse

This unique attraction is located in Adventureland and is a great addition to your itinerary as a family with teens. This walkthrough attraction is based on the classic Disney film The Swiss Family Robinson. Guests climb high into a replica of the family’s iconic treehouse and get glimpses into several different rooms and inventions. This attraction also gives guests unique views of Magic Kingdom. Go back up at night for a great view of Tomorrowland lit up!
