Did you know that Disney World is home to two amazing water parks? Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has all of the Disney theming, magic, and high standards that you expect from a Disney park. Thanks to Disney’s offer in 2025, all resort guests get free water park tickets to enjoy during their check-in day. Because of this offer, more and more families are finding themselves planning for a day full of water fun. Themed after a tropical island that has been hit with a typhoon, Typhoon Lagoon has attractions for guests of all ages. There are many attractions and things to do for kids at Typhoon Lagoon; continue reading to learn more about the must-do’s!

Castaway Creek

This lazy river attraction is great for guests of all ages and abilities. Float along this gentle stream and even use it to get around the water park with its 5 landings. Castaway Creek is 2,000 feet long and goes through waterfalls, mists, bridges, and tunnels. Kids can float with their parents in an inner-tube or go solo. Castaway Creek is the perfect attraction to keep your kids entertained while the grown-ups relax and float along.

Ketchakidde Creek

Perfect for the little ones, Ketchakiddie Creek is just for kids 48 inches or shorter. This is a must-do for those who aren’t strong swimmers or those who just want to slide and play. Kiddos can enjoy a small sandy beach that is perfect for playing in, splash in wading pools, enjoy squirting crocodiles, and slide down several mini slides. You can easily spend most of your day in Ketchakiddie Creek watching the little ones have a blast.

Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool

This wave pool is a definite must-do for any kids, but kids who are stronger swimmers will particularly love these waves. Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is a famous attraction because of its 6 foot swells. Brave guests can swim near the back of the pool where the waves are bigger, or wade in the zero-depth entry and feel the waves lap against their feet. Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is especially great for families who have swimmers of various ages and abilities. It’s also a great place to work on swimming skills with  your little ones.

Storm Slides

These body slides are for guests of any height. Storm Slides is a group of 3 slides: Jib Jammer, Stern Burner and Rudder Buster. Each slide has their own unique twists and turns and end in a 3-foot waterfall drop. This attraction is perfect for bigger kids who are ready for a bit of a thrill.

Bay Slides

Only for kids under 60 inches, Bay Slides are two gentle slides that are a great introduction to body slides for kids. Bay Slides are the mini versions of the Storm Slides, and are great for kids who aren’t ready for a thrilling slide experience.
