Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is around a 2 hour drive from Walt Disney World in Florida and is the perfect place to visit if you want to end your Disney vacation with some fun in the sun. This resort is great for families with kids of all ages, but big kids can especially have an amazing time at this resort. Community Hall Activities

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort’s Community Hall is the perfect place to visit when vacationing with your big kids. Community Hall is where you’ll find DVD and board game rentals, as well as daily activities and crafts free of charge. Occasionally, there will be a craft hosted at Community Hall for an extra cost like tie-dye. When you check in to your resort you can grab a list of what crafts or activities are scheduled during your visit.

Rentals And Games

At Eb & Flo Rentals you can rent equipment for the mini golf course, as well as table tennis paddles, corn hole bean bags, shuffleboard gear, as well as tennis, basketball, soccer, and volleyball equipment. There is so much more than just the beach for your big kids to enjoy! If your kids are mainly interested in the beach you can also rent beach chairs or cabanas for the entire day for your family to use and enjoy.

Water Sports And Excursions

If your big kid needs more of a thrill than you can also rent water sport gear like boogie boards, kayaks, and more. More information on water sport availability can be gathered at the front desk during check-in. Excursions like fishing lessons can be booked for an additional fee. Guests aged 7 or older can take part in this guided lesson and fish on Vero Beach’s private lake for some catch and release fun. This is a great opportunity for families to learn fishing together, and for big kids to gain interest in a new hobby! Reservations for this experience can be made after checking in to your resort.

Nature Trail

Did you know that a nature trail is located just across the street from Disney’s Vero Beach Resort? The Jungle Trail is a historic trail stretching 7 and a half miles. This trail can be accessed via tunnel where guests can walk underneath the freeway and exit at the serene nature trail. Guests can walk or bike this historic trail. Either bring your own bike or rent from Eb & Flo’s!
