Must-Do Dining At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is the largest park at Disney World and contains several must-do attractions and activities. Fan-favorite attractions like Expedition Everest, Flight of Passage, and Kilimanjaro Safaris are on many guests’ lists of things they must experience during their visit. When planning a visit to Animal Kingdom it is important to not forget about planning your meals. Eating within the park will not only buy you more time in the park by not traveling, but it will also allow you to experience more must-dos. There are several must-do dining locations at Animal Kingdom. Join us as we explore them together!

Tusker House Restaurant

If you are looking for character dining then Animal Kingdom has you covered! Tusker House restaurant is a unique buffet consisting of African and Indian-inspired flavors alongside classic American food. Donald Duck and his friends join you as you dine, and they are dressed in their safari best! Tusker House is also open for breakfast where guests can find the buffet stocked with Mickey waffles, pastries, breakfast meats, overnight oats, and so much more. For lunch and dinner, the buffet consists of various breads with dips, tandoori chicken, curries, seafood, and nature-inspired desserts. This experience is currently priced at $47 per adult and $30 per child for breakfast, and $62 per adult and $40 per child for lunch and dinner.

Satu’li Canteen

Fans of Avatar will love the ambiance and theming of Satu’li Canteen. Located in Pandora, this quick-service restaurant serves meals that are inspired by the alien planet itself. Guests can find entrees like the Ocean Moon Bowl, consisting of blue noodles, tuna, watermelon, radish, pickled daikon, rainbow carrots, avocado, red cabbage, cucumbers, with miso and sweet soy sauce. Kids can also enjoy unique items like the Cheeseburger Steamed Pod. This mess hall-style restaurant is also filled with references to Avatar and Pandora.

Trilo-Bites

This must-do snack stand is located just inside Dinoland USA. Trilo-Bites is a great place to grab a refreshing treat like the Zazu DOLE Whip Lime and Coconut Float, churro, or Buffalo Chicken Chips for those who are in the mood for something savory.

Isle of Java

Located in Discovery Island, Isle of Java is the spot to grab a popular must-do snack at Animal Kingdom: The Tiger Tail. This pastry is a delicious combination of flaky dough and chocolate drizzle, twisted into the shape of a tiger tail. Guests can also find specialty Joffrey’s Coffee drinks at Ilse of Java like the Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

Flame Tree Barbecue

This quick-service restaurant serves delicious barbecue with a view. For many guests, this is their must-do! Flame Tree Barbecue overlooks the water and Expedition Everest, and serves yummy entrees like ribs, chicken, pulled pork, Smokehouse Chicken Salad, and more. A variety of beers on tap are available, as well as other beverages and desserts like the Flamingo Cupcake.
