The Disney parks are full of attractions, shows, food, and entertainment. Many guests prefer to arrive at the parks as soon as they open in order to have the entire day to play at the parks. Mornings at the parks are a great opportunity for guests to get in line before they fill up or grab coffee and stroll throughout the park. But what about evenings and nights at the parks? Nighttime at the Disney parks has a way of being even more magical than daytime. In fact, certain Disney attractions are even more fun to experience after dark. Here are some of Magic Kingdom’s rides that are even better at night.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
This is the wildest ride in the wilderness and it’s even better after dark! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a wild roller coaster that’s great for the entire family with a height requirement of just 38 inches. This attraction feels even more wild when you’re riding it in the dark. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad whips you through mountains and desert towns. Many guests enjoy timing their ride with Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show as you can get a great view of Happily Ever After during your ride.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Another Frontierland attraction that comes to life at night is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This log flume-style attraction is both an indoor and outdoor attraction. The portions that take place outdoors are even more thrilling at night, including the 5-story grand finale drop! With a height requirement of 40 inches, this attraction is fun for the young thrill-seekers in your family.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority The People Mover
In Tomorrowland, riding The People Mover at night can give you an entirely different experience than during the day. This attraction gives you a birds-eye view of Tomorrowland as you tour from above. At night, you can see the lights, sights, and sounds of Tomorrowland as you tour it.

Swiss Family Tree House
This walkthrough attraction is very unique and even more so at night. The Swiss Family Tree House is an attraction that guests explore at their own pace. As you climb the stairs for this attraction you go high above the park. The views you get here are even better at night. You might even be able to spot fireworks if you’re lucky.

Astro Orbiter
Located in Tomorrowland as well, Astro Orbiter is the tallest attraction at Magic Kingdom. Guests board space shuttles and travel in a circle high above Tomorrowland. At night this is a truly magical experience that gives you great views of the park. Astro Orbiter is an attraction without a height requirement.
