Beginning August 1, more entertainment will be returning to Walt Disney World! Many of Disney’s shows have not yet reopened since their COVID closure, but they have been slowly reopening. Disney has just released the most recent round of reopening dates for guests to look forward to in the month of August.
Wonderful World of Animation
The Wonderful World of Animation projection show will be back to wow guests by taking them on a journey through more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on starting on August 1st. This after dark spectacular will be lighting up the sky again very soon.
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
In Magic Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will be reopening on August 8th and once again giving park guests the chance to visit the only laugh factory in Monstropolis. If you have a good joke you’d like to share, you can watch the short video instructions at the beginning of the show, and even text your joke. It may even be featured in the show! Guests won’t be able to contain their laughter in this hilarious comedy show with Mike Wizowski.
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage will be returning To Hollywood Studios on August 15th, bringing with it the marvelous costumes and songs that guests have been missing. We reported back in June that Disney was casting for Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, and we’re happy to report the show will be back in time to celebrate it’s 30th anniversary since this fan-favorite live show premiered at the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard on November 22, 1991.
The Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard is where this performance is typically held, and has been used as a relaxation station and overflow outdoor dining while the show was on its hiatus. Guests are looking forward to the Theater returning to its prior glory once again.
Turtle Talk With Crush
Turtle Talk with Crush is a favorite for kids and adults alike, and it has been dearly missed. Join Crush the Turtle on August 21st as he returns to answer questions taken from guests attending the show that day about the ocean at Disney’s Epcot.
