Understanding the Stakes: The Cost of Late Payments

Late payment of annual dues comes with penalties. DVC charges a late fee of $25 per ownership interest for delinquent annual dues. On top of that, interest accrues at the maximum legal rate, currently standing at 18%. These additional charges can add up quickly, making it more expensive for you in the long run.

The Implications of Late Payments

Not only do late payments result in extra financial burdens, but they can also affect your membership privileges. Late payments can hinder your ability to make reservations, bank, and even borrow Vacation Points. These restrictions could significantly impact your vacation planning and overall DVC experience.

Payment Strategies to Avoid Late Fees

To steer clear of these late fees, DVC offers a couple of convenient payment strategies. Firstly, members can pay their annual dues in one lump sum by February 15th.

Alternatively, members can set up an annual credit card auto-pay or opt for the monthly automatic payment method, but those automatic payments would need to be set up prior to the January 31st deadline for auto-pay.

DVC accepts payments through credit cards, debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, or Disney Visa Reward Cards.
