In my eyes, it’s indisputable. Walt Disney World is the absolute best place to have a date night! Going there for a night with your loved one, well the magic is just unmatched! Any vibe you are going for, whether it’s a romantic night out or just for the sake of spending time together, you’ll not regret choosing Disney. If you’re here on a vacation or maybe even a local, I’ll run down each park showcasing what I think is the best way to go about Disney date night! Let’s start with The Magic Kingdom!
Start With A Sit-Down Meal
It is undeniable that the most magical park in Walt Disney World is Magic Kingdom. Let me set the scene. You and your partner walk through the gates of Magic Kingdom near sunset. Magic Kingdom is beautiful always, but the weather is always nicest when the sun starts to disappear. As you enter, the Main Street music welcomes you in, setting the mood for the evening.
Every date night should start with a meal to make sure you both aren’t walking around on an empty stomach! Magic Kingdom has lovely sit down options, take Be Our Guest for example. Set within the Beast’s castle, guest can enjoy a pre fixe menu that includes 3 courses. The atmosphere in here is extremely immersive. As you look at the “snow” falling outside the windows, you’ll almost forget you’re in Orlando! Sit down dining is the only way to enjoy alcoholic beverages in the Magic Kingdom, so if you and your significant other like to unwind with a glass of wine, keep that in mind!
Watch Fireworks
As a kid, all I ever wanted was to watch the fireworks over the castle with the person I love. I can now in my adult life confirm it is the most content you could possibly feel while at a theme park. The sweeping music, the dazzling pyrotechnics, and the message of finding your “Happily Ever After” as you stand next to yours. Tears might be shed! Dry them off quickly though, because you have rides to do!
Don’t Forget The Attractions!
Rides at Magic Kingdom are mostly pretty family friendly, which is perfect for a date night. Slow moving omnimovers like The Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion are a great place to sit and relax with your loved one. The same can be said for a lot of the slow moving rides in Magic Kingdom, but the thrill rides is where the real fun comes in! Screaming as you race through the dark on Tron or Space Mountain is a great time, and you recieve a picture of the both of you as a souvenir at the end! Rides, Fireworks, and Dining are no brainers for any type of Disney day, but what are some of my not so obvious tips?
End With A Sweet Treat
A little friendly competition never hurt anybody! Ride Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and challenge your partner to a little wager. Who ever wins, buys ice cream! After fireworks, the hub grass near the castle is a great place to sit and people watch. Laying down offers the most magical place to stargaze! Nearby you’ll find the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Ice Cream on the Hub Grass is a perfect ending to the night. After the park closes, there are rocking chairs at Town Square Theater that are perfect for relaxing as the park clears out.
At the end of the day, nobody knows your connection like you two! No matter what you end up doing, it’ll be special because you’re creating memories only you two could make. I would love to hear about your most memorable Disney date in the comments!
