The Cabins at Disney’s Ft Wilderness Resort & Campground, which are planned to be unveiled mid-2024, are set to offer an economical option for Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members. These cabins are projected to be more cost-effective than both One Bedroom options at Walt Disney World and some Deluxe Studio rooms. Let’s take a look into the anticipated Fort Wilderness Cabins, covering aspects such as point costs, room facilities, and the expected opening date.

Point Costs: Value Beyond Compare

A single cabin is projected to represent approximately 7661 points, making it more economical than every existing One Bedroom villa at Walt Disney World, including the Value rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.

Additionally, these cabins are also set to be cheaper than certain higher-priced Deluxe Studio options. While the precise nightly point charts are yet to be unveiled, these estimates reflect the total points each room will represent over a calendar year.

Resort Villa Type View Type Annual Points Per Villa
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Cabin Unknown 7,661
Disney’s Riviera Resort Deluxe Studio Preferred View 8,696
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Deluxe Studio Theme Park View 8,803
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Deluxe Studio Lake View 9,140
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Deluxe Studio Lake View 9,403

Room Amenities: Comfort Meets Convenience

Designed to accommodate up to 6 guests, the Cabins at Disney’s Ft Wilderness Resort & Campground will comprise a private bedroom with a queen-size bed and twin bunk beds, a pull-down queen in the living room, and a full kitchen. Each cabin will also boast a private deck and an outdoor charcoal grill. These cabins offer more space and amenities than Deluxe Studio villas, making them an ideal choice for larger families or groups.

The Grand Reveal: Mid-2024

The new DVC cabins are scheduled to open to guests sometime in mid-2024. The initial filing covers 30 cabins located in the 2300 loop of the resort. While resort staff is not obligated to place guests staying on DVC points in these declared units, they will likely be home to the first cabins updated during the phased construction project. The resort currently includes a total of 363 cabins, with some remaining available for Disney to rent to cash guests.

An Economical Option

The Cabins at Disney’s Ft Wilderness Resort & Campground present a budget-friendly and spacious option for Disney Vacation Club members. With lower point costs compared to One Bedroom villas and some Deluxe Studio rooms, these cabins provide an economical choice for larger families or groups. The anticipated opening date in mid-2024 offers DVC members an exciting development to look forward to.
