Holiday On-Ride Photos Arrive at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Two holiday on-ride photo designs for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, one framed on a decorated Christmas tree and one on a red Merry Mayhem card with Animal and Kermit in Santa hats

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is approaching its first holiday season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney PhotoPass is joining in. Starting November 4, riders will get one of three new seasonal on-ride photo designs built around the Electric Mayhem’s holiday gig. Here is what each design includes, when you can get them, and how they connect to the holiday overlay.

When the Holiday On-Ride Photos Are Available

The seasonal photos run from November 4, 2026 through January 6, 2027. Anyone who rides during that period will receive the holiday versions instead of the standard designs. The start date comes before several other holiday events at Walt Disney World, so the coaster gets a head start on the season.

Date What Happens
November 4, 2026 Holiday on-ride photos and the holiday ride overlay begin
November 7, 2026 First night of Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios
November 13, 2026 Official start of the Walt Disney World holiday season
January 6, 2027 Final day for the holiday photos, matching the end of the resort’s holiday season

Riders who visit in early November, before most resort decorations go up, can still bring home a seasonal souvenir from this attraction.

A Quick Look Back at the Original Photo Designs

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Muppets Ride Vehicle Photo

When the Muppets took over the coaster in May 2026, PhotoPass introduced three on-ride photo frames styled after music industry items: a backstage pass, a concert poster, and a playbill. Those designs fit the story of the Electric Mayhem racing across Los Angeles to make a show on time. The holiday frames temporarily replace all three, then the standard designs are expected to return after the season ends.

Original Design (Since May 2026) Holiday Design (Nov. 4 to Jan. 6)

Disney did not say that each holiday frame directly replaces a specific original frame. The table shows the three original designs next to the three holiday designs for comparison.

Design One: The Merry Mayhem Card

The first design uses a tall, vertical layout on a red background. “Merry Mayhem” sits across the top in bright green block letters, with a striped ornament and a snowflake in the upper corner. “Disney’s Hollywood Studios 2026” runs up the left edge.

Below the photo is a row of three panels. Animal and Kermit the Frog each wear a Santa hat and sit on either side of a center panel reading “G-Force Records Presents The Electric Mayhem.” The tagline “One Night to Rock the Halls” runs along the bottom in matching green. The overall look resembles a holiday concert ticket, which suits the attraction’s music theme.

Design Two: The Christmas Tree Ornament Frame

The second design has the most detail of the three. Your photo hangs inside a rainbow-striped frame on a lit Christmas tree, surrounded by ornaments that reference the attraction and its story. Look closely and you will find:

  • A license plate ornament reading “MUPP3T5,” with “DHS” and “Let’s Roll” printed above it
  • A vinyl record ornament labeled “Rockin’ Christmas” for The Electric Mayhem
  • An orange G-Force Records bulb in the lower left corner
  • A yellow road sign ornament hanging above a green street sign reading “Obligatory Easter Egg”

The figure on the yellow road sign is Waldo C. Graphic, the computer-generated character from the former MuppetVision 3D attraction. It is a small nod to Hollywood Studios history, and it suits a coaster that Imagineering filled with hidden references from the G-Force Records lobby to the freeway scenes. Fans who like spotting details will want to study this one after their ride.

Design Three: The Holiday Band Portrait Grid

The third design uses a wide, horizontal layout. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets logo appears in the upper right, and below it six line-drawn portraits of the band members fill a grid of red, white, and green tiles. Animal sits in the center of the grid.

A large “2026” runs along the bottom beside the “One Night to Rock the Halls” tagline and the “G-Force Records Presents The Electric Mayhem” credit. Guests who rode over the summer may recognize the format, since the original concert poster design also placed the band in a portrait grid. This version reads as a seasonal take on that earlier layout.

How the Photos Tie Into the Holiday Overlay

The new photos launch alongside a holiday overlay for the attraction itself. In the seasonal storyline, the Electric Mayhem is rehearsing a holiday show inside G-Force Records when several Muppet friends stop by and cause chaos. Scooter and his penguin audio engineers still need to get the band across town on time, which leads guests into the L.I.M.O. Disney describes the overlay as a “festive celebration filled with seasonal tunes and new surprises.”

That storyline explains the “One Night to Rock the Halls” tagline and the “Rockin’ Christmas” record ornament in the photos. Here is the four-song holiday setlist you may hear during your launch:

  • “Holiday Road” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
  • “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
  • “Silver Bells” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
  • “Little Saint Nick” by The Electric Mayhem

Final Thoughts

The holiday on-ride photos give Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets a seasonal souvenir that matches its new holiday soundtrack and storyline. Between the Merry Mayhem card, the ornament-covered tree, and the band portrait grid, each design offers something different, and the Waldo C. Graphic reference is a nice touch for longtime Hollywood Studios fans. If you plan to visit between November 4 and January 6, schedule a ride or two and see which design you end up with.
