Overview
While you’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, if you have an adventurous appetite Harambe Market is the place for you! You will find multiple food options at this location, from ribs to even plant-based sausage. Harambe Market is located in the land of Africa between Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Winged Encounters, off the beaten path, creating an exotic ambiance to dine in!
The Harambe Market has a theme of a train depot and marketplace with trains bringing fresh food and produce to the community. This themed area is the village of Harambe, where tourists can enjoy the area’s favorite foods. Many entrees here include chicken and ribs with an African twist. Harambe Market also features popular entree bowls like the grilled chicken bowl. A well-known dessert from Animal Kingdom can be found here, and that would be the Simba cupcake. The cupcake features Simba from The Loin Kings animated film with vibrant colored piped icing, white chocolate mousse, and yellow cake.
When dining at Harambe Market, the seating is all outdoors in the lively plaza. You’ll notice the village of Harambe’s famous water tower as the focal point in the dining area, where you can enjoy some nice shady and secluded areas. This quick service location is unique because they have pairings of adult alcoholic beverages with the entrees. There’s an array of cocktails, beer, and even sangria to cool you off on those hot park days. If you still have a sweet tooth, you can always go to Zuri’s Sweet Shop, which has baked goods and merchandise as part of the Harambe Market.
