DVC Shop’s Friday For Foodies is an exploration of dining at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first series in this journey through Disney World’s food is called “Eating Around The World Showcase at EPCOT”. As part of this series, DVC Shop will dine at restaurants around the World Showcase in order to explore their food items and overall dining experience. This week’s featured dining location is Rose & Crown Dining Room!
Overview of Rose & Crown
Rose & Crown Dining Room is a sit down restaurant located in EPCOT’s United Kingdom pavilion. This family-friendly table service meal highlights traditional British pub favorites and is open for dinner. There are options for both indoor dining and outside dining on the patio, which overlooks World Showcase Lagoon.
You can also book a fireworks dining package at Rose & Crown Dining Room to be guaranteed outdoor patio seating while you watch Luminous The Symphony of Us. For guests 21 years of age and older, the unlimited beverages does include alcoholic options.
Food & Drink Items We Tried
Typical dining, without the fireworks package, at Rose & Crown Dining room is an a la carte menu for adults and a prix fixe menu for children. The dinner menu is focused, which gave us an opportunity to try mosr of the items!
Appetizers
Scotch Egg – $15.00
Rose & Crown does the classic pub snack as an appetizer. This is a hard-boiled cage-free egg, then wrapped in sausage, breaded, and fried to golden perfection. Served on the side is a tangy mustard sauce, and a bit of greens. This is a great start to any meal.
Entrees
Fish and Chips – $28.00
The fish and chips are “Rose & Crown’s Signature Dish.” This entree is a generous portion of beer-battered fried white fish, served with thick cut French fries and a side of tartar sauce. This dish is the signature for a reason, with the crunchy exterior and flakey interior of the fish leaving an impression. Plus, diners are able to dress up their fish and chips as they please with condiments beyond the standard tartar sauce, like lemon and malt vinegar.
Bangers and Mash – $25.00
Savory Impossible™ Hot Pot – $25.00
Desserts
Sticky Toffee Pudding – $9.50
This dessert is a steamed pudding ‘Cake’ served with a warm vanilla custard and a hot butter-rum sauce.
