Fourth of July Fireworks - Jeff Krause

The Fourth of July is a time of celebration, barbecues, and most importantly, fireworks! It’s a time when families gather to appreciate the beauty of these colorful displays lighting up the sky. However, if you’re planning to celebrate at Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resorts this year, there are some restrictions that have been put in place to ensure only guests stay at the resorts are able to view the fireworks shows.

Magic Kingdom Resort Area

The Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will be a mesmerizing fireworks display that lights up the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. Shows will take place July 3rd and July 4th at 9:20 PM.

This patriotic spectacle, set against the backdrop of the iconic Cinderella Castle, is a tribute to the spirit of America. The show combines vibrant pyrotechnics, illuminating the night sky with hues of red, white, and blue, with a moving soundtrack of classic American tunes.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

To attend the Beach Bash and view the fireworks at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, wristbands will be mandatory. The privilege to witness the fireworks display will be exclusive to guests who have confirmed registrations at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

The allocation of wristbands will occur on the 3rd and 4th of July. Guests at these resorts can pick up their wristbands at following specified locations:

  • Monday, July 3 – 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 4 – 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At this time, there seems to be no requirement for wristbands to enjoy the fireworks display at the Grand Floridian.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, no official word has been given regarding the Fourth of July fireworks viewing. However, it has been rumored that access to view the fireworks from the resort’s fourth floor would be restricted to those with wristbands.

The specific time or locations for handing out these wristbands has not yet been released, but do check with Cast Members before too late in the evening to ensure you won’t be turned away.

EPCOT Resort Area

The EPCOT Forever fireworks show, with its Fourth of July grand finale – “Heartbeat of Freedom,” is a truly captivating event for guests within the EPCOT Resort Area. This special production is a celebration of America’s spirit of freedom and independence. The show starts at 9PM on July 4th.

Disney’s Beach Club Villas

At Disney’s Beach Club Villas, no official word has been given regarding the Fourth of July fireworks viewing. At this time, there seems to be no requirement for wristbands to enjoy the fireworks display at Beach Club.

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas

At Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, no official word has been given regarding the Fourth of July fireworks viewing. At this time, there seems to be no requirement for wristbands to enjoy the fireworks display at the BoardWalk.

Why Are Wristbands Required At Select Locations?

While some of the rules regarding the Fourth of July fireworks viewing at DVC resorts may be a bit different this year, ensuring Disney’s Deluxe resort guests are able to view the fireworks shows from their resort is an important step to take. These restrictions are in place to ensure that everyone who is paying to stay at these properties can experience the holiday festivities in an enjoyable manner.

Independence Day Celebrations

For those who will be vacationing at Disney during the holiday, there will be plenty of Independence Day celebrations to enjoy. From spectacular fireworks displays to special entertainment and dining options, Disney parks pull out all the stops for this patriotic holiday.
