We previously announced that, from July 25, 2023, until August 19, 2023, Cast Members were eligible to sign up for previews of the newest attraction at EPCOT, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana. We had the opportunity to join a Cast Member on September 3rd, 2023, and we wanted to share what you can expect while visiting this brand-new attraction!
Currently, there’s still not a set date for the Journey of Water Inspired by Moana opening to the public, but we may just be a few short months away from the grand opening. Additionally, as of right now, there are no announcements of previews for Annual Passholders either.
The Journey Of Water Inspired By Moana Experience
When entering this experience, you are immediately immersed in Moana’s world! With the music and scenery, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported into the beautifully animated film. With all the different water features that the whole family can enjoy, you’ll surely have a great time!
Here, you’ll see a wood carving of Moana that is very similar to the carvings you see of animals on the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
During the daytime, you can enjoy the sun and splashes of water while seeing the familiar face of Te Fiti from Moana.
These splashing water fixtures throughout this attraction blend in with natural woods to match the look of ancient Polynesia, just like in the film Moana. Make sure to watch above, or you might end up wet.
This location looks completely different at nighttime as this magical land illuminates and showcases the perfect view of the sparkling Spaceship Earth.
