The future is shining brightly for Walt Disney World Resort in 2024! The DVC Shop blog has spent the past year covering many of the updates that are coming to streamline your Walt Disney World vacation planning process. As we welcome the new year, let’s take a look at the most anticipated updates, along with some handy advice to enhance your visit.
Embrace Spontaneity With Good-To-Go Days
Walt Disney World Resort is introducing “good-to-go” days in 2024, designed to make visits easier and more fun for Annual Passholders. On these special days, passholders can enter the theme parks without needing a reservation, although blockout dates will still apply. The first good-to-go days will be added to the reservation calendar and My Disney Experience app starting January 11th, 2024, with more days being added periodically.
All-Day Park Hopper Access Returns
In addition to the introduction of good-to-go days, Walt Disney World is also bringing back all-day Park Hopper access on January 9th, 2024. This means passholders can visit another Disney theme park at any time during park hours, adding a level of flexibility and spontaneity to their Disney experience.
No More Reservations Needed for Date-Based Tickets
Guests who purchase date-based tickets, which are the standard Disney theme park tickets, will no longer need to make theme park reservations. This change simplifies the planning process and makes it easier for guests to enjoy their Disney visit.
Dining Plans Are Back
Disney Resort hotel guests can once again purchase vacation packages with dining plans. These plans allow guests to pre-pay for meals and snacks, offering convenience and peace of mind. Guests can choose from either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. For Disney foodies, dining reservations are available for booking 60 days in advance.
With the return of the dining plans for 2024, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about the pricing, features, and return dates here: Walt Disney World Dining Plans For 2024: Pricing, Features, Return Date.
Looking Ahead To 2024
The year 2024 promises to be an exciting one at Walt Disney World Resort. From the return of fan-favorite features like dining plans and all-day Park Hopper access to the introduction of good-to-go days, there’s much to anticipate. Later in 2024, guests can look forward to the completion of the EPCOT transformation and the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park.
With these updates, Walt Disney World Resort continues to innovate and enhance the guest experience, making every visit memorable and full of magic.
