Disney has just announced early park entry and a new “extended evening hours” for Deluxe Resort guests starting on October 1!

Guests who are staying in Disney resorts will be able to enter the theme parks earlier than other guests., and guests or DVC members who are staying at one of the Disney Deluxe hotels or Deluxe Villa Resorts, such as Animal Kingdom Villas or Boardwalk Villas, will be able to stay in the parks late with extended hours on select nights. The exact dates for extended hours will be released closer to October 1, so be sure to stay tuned to the DVC Shop blog for all the juicy details once those dates are announced!

In order to take advantage of both the early theme park entry and the extended evening hours, guests staying at a Disney Resort will need a valid ticket and theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. Guests staying in a Disney Resort who have Park Hopper tickets or Annual Passes will also be able to enter into a park for extended hours, as long as they enter the park where they made park reservations that day first.

Previously Disney offered Extra Magic Hours at the Walt Disney World parks. At one point in time the Extra Magic Hours would allow guests up to four hours extra in the theme parks. Unfortunately this offer was suspended during the COVID shutdown, but Disney seems to be making headway to bring this special privilege back to guests.

If there was ever a time to stay on Disney property, it would definitely be for the 50th anniversary, especially with the perk of extra hours in the theme parks. Whether you’re an existing DVC member or future DVC renter, be sure to book a Disney Deluxe Resort to take full advantage of the early park entry and a new “extended evening hours” that are beginning on October 1!
