Disney’s Riviera Resort marked its fourth anniversary on December 16th, 2023 with a special gift for its Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members. The resort announced the addition of more vacation homes to its DVC inventory, providing members with more booking options using their points.
About Riviera Resort
Established on December 16, 2019, Disney’s Riviera Resort holds the distinction of being the 11th DVC resort at Walt Disney World. Over the years, it has gained popularity for its beautiful architecture, luxurious accommodation, and unique offerings.
Expansion of Vacation Homes
The latest declaration includes 32 additional vacation homes located on the fourth floor on the west side of the resort, in close proximity to the Skyliner transportation system. The new homes include 10 Residential Units, comprising:
- three Tower Studios
- three Dedicated Studios
- three Dedicated One-Bedroom villas
- ten Lockoff Two-Bedroom villas
- twelve Dedicated Two-Bedroom villas
- one Three-Bedroom grand villa.
Implications For DVC Points & Inventory
This expansion brings an additional 622,402 DVC points to Riviera’s DVC inventory, making the total number of points approximately 5,081,401. This accounts for about 75.4% of the Riviera’s total 6.7 million points, indicating that on any given day, DVC members can book around 75.4% of the resort using their DVC points.
Status of Undeclared Inventory
The undeclared inventory continues to be managed by Disney Vacation Development. It is used for cash reservations, model showings for potential buyers, or for other purposes as chosen by the organization.
Riviera’s Declaration History
This recent addition marks the eighth declaration for Disney’s Riviera Resort since its sales began in March 2019, demonstrating the resort’s commitment to continually enhancing its offerings for DVC members.
