Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is scheduled to reopen on November 6th, 2023, as officially announced by the Disney. Previously, there were rumors about a November reopening, and now the date is finally confirmed.
Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon Alternating Closures
Blizzard Beach, along with Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, are the two water parks at Walt Disney World Resort that operate alternately. Each park closes for several months each year for maintenance purposes.
The latest closure of Blizzard Beach started in March 2023, coinciding with the reopening of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Interestingly, the official Walt Disney World Resort website does not mention any operating hours for Typhoon Lagoon beyond November 4, 2023, suggesting that this will be the final day of operations for the season. Although the website does not currently list operating hours for Blizzard Beach for the remainder of 2023, these details are expected to be updated soon.
Introducing the New Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass
Disney has launched a new Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass, allowing guests unlimited visits to Disney Water Parks until May 24, 2024, for just $79 plus tax. This pass has no block out dates or reservation requirements, and it even includes free parking for guests visiting Blizzard Beach.

Blizzard Beach is introducing some mouth-watering additions to its menu. Specialty churros are now available at Arctic Expeditions, including S’mores Churros and Banana Split Churros. The Warming Hut is also offering new Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings and Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings.
