Disney World has increased park hours for summer time! Disney has updated their park hours on the calendar from now all the way up until June 2021. This summer hour expansion is exciting news for those planning their trips to the park this year and may indicate some exciting changes to come.
The updated list of park hours from now until June is listed below:
Magic Kingdom
- April 25 to June 19, 2021: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Park Hopping Hours: 2:00 PM to close
Increased from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Magic Kingdom is boasting the largest increase in hours at this time with a 4 hour difference. Being able to come an hour earlier and stay in the park later will also give guests a much needed opportunity to beat the Orlando summer heat.
Epcot
- April 25 to May 8, 2021: 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- May 9 to June 19, 2021: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Park Hopping Hours: 2:00 PM to close
Epcot hours were previously 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This time change will also give guests more time in the park in the evening hours which will help guests avoid the hot sun. It also will give them great views of Spaceship Earth at night.
Hollywood Studios
- April 25 to May 22, 2021: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- May 23 to June 18, 2021: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Park Hopping Hours: 2:00 PM to close
The hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be increased by 2 hours. The previous hours were 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Animal Kingdom
- April 25 to May 1, 2021: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (previously 9 am to 5 pm)
- May 2 to June 19, 2021: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Park Hopping Hours: 2:00 PM to close
Increasing by 3 to 4 hours, Animal Kingdom is increasing their hours quite a bit. This is a treat for guests who have not been able to stay late enough to see the Tree of Life at night when it truly comes alive.
Disney has also regularly had periods where they have increased the hours in the parks on short notice, typically only a week or so in advance. Make sure to check the Disney calendar for the most up to date hours the week of your trip.
For those looking to take a trip to Disney World this summer, make sure to book your reservations sooner rather than later as dates are already beginning to fill up. Who knows, maybe these increased hours are a build up for an increase in capacity in the parks.
