Disney’s Skyliner gondola system is currently undergoing refurbishment and will be closed from now until January 29th. This marks Disney’s normal period of annual maintenance for the popular attraction since that has been happening since its opening in 2019. The Disney Skyliner offers guests an aerial view of Disney property while they travel between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney Pop Century, Disney’s Art of Animation and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
But don’t worry – the closure won’t last long! The team at Walt Disney World Resort is hard at work performing maintenance and repairs that will ensure your skybound adventure is a safe and enjoyable one.
Despite the Disney Skyliner being closed, the Disney transportation team is still working hard to make sure that guests have access to all of the Disney Parks and Resorts. Guests can utilize Disney’s bus service or monorail system while they are waiting for the Disney Skyliner to reopen. Disney states that the Disney Skyliner will be back open and ready for use by January 30th, just in time for the next wave of guests headed to Walt Disney World to celebrate Disney’s “100 Years of Wonder” 100-year anniversary.
This exciting form of transportation allows guests to swiftly travel between Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and other Disney Resort Hotel destinations throughout the Walt Disney World area. The system has quickly become one of the most popular ways to get around, allowing visitors to take in breathtaking views of Florida’s natural landscapes.
