When Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort this fall, the after-hours Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure will also be back for 25 nights of fright, fun, and trick-or-treating! For those that love the Halloween season, the Oogie Boogie Bash offers many opportunities to celebrate Disney-style with special character appearances, shows, and parades, similar to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that takes place at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
Oogie Boogie Bash is one of the exclusive events each year where costumes for all ages of guests are permitted in the park! While the party officially begins at 6:00PM, ticket holders may take advantage of extra park time by entering Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00PM. After 6:00PM, guests have five full hours of exploring the spooky selections and ghoulish goodies detailed below that appear at this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash.
Treat Trails
Scattered throughout the park are Treat Trails, special Disney villain-themed and decorated areas where you will encounter the villains themselves and the opportunity to collect Mars candies like M&Ms, Skittles, and Snickers. Bring your own container to collect your goodies or pick up a free bag at the entrance.
Frightfully Fun Parade
Make your way to the streets for the Frightfully Fun Parade beginning each evening of the party. Spectators can expect to see Mickey, Minnie, Disney villains, and other Halloween entertainers. The Headless Horseman leads the procession and Cheshire Cat serves as the tail of this Halloween-themed parade.
Mickey’s Treat and Treat
Find Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy along with their friend Parker the scientist performing live on stage in Hollywood Land. Watch their not-so-scary family-friendly Halloween musical tale unfold after Parker accidentally blows up a special potion!
Villains Grove
Explore Redwood Creek Challenge Trail as an enchanted forest haunted by colorful lights, sounds, and shadows thanks to some of Disney’s most popular villains. Wander through grottos created by Dr. Facilier, Frollo, Scar, the Wicked Queen, Maleficent, and more.

All attendees of Oogie Boogie Bash will receive a special gift. Included in the price of the ticket is unlimited downloads from Disney’s PhotoPass for photos taken during the party! Take advantage of the exclusive photo opportunities scattered throughout the park including meet-and-greets with characters who will be dressed in their Halloween costume and appearances by characters not usually found in the park! In addition, a special offering will be made available for those that hold a Magic Key Pass. Stay tuned to DVCShop blog for more information when it is announced.
Set a reminder because tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash go on sale June 27, 2023 for Magic Key Holders and June 29, 2023 for the general public. Prices begin at $134 per person and vary by date.
