Cozy Reading Spots At DVC Resorts

While some Disney spaces make great remote work locations, quiet reading spots call for an even cozier atmosphere. Thankfully, Walt Disney World’s DVC Resorts are full of hidden nooks perfect for relaxing with a good book, offering just the right mix of calm, comfort, and Disney magic.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

After soaking in the tropical vibes of the Polynesian’s lobby, head past Pineapple Lanai (tip: grab a Dole Whip for the walk!) toward the overwater bungalows on the right-hand side of the lagoon. Near the bungalows, you’ll spot a hill with a paved pathway leading up. At the top, shaded benches overlook Seven Seas Lagoon, with serene island music in the background and Cinderella Castle shimmering in the distance. It’s peaceful, breezy, and perfect for diving into a few chapters. Once you’re done, you’re just minutes away from a Dole Whip refill!

Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Entering the Wilderness Lodge lobby feels like stepping into a cozy mountain retreat—perfect for curling up with a book. Walk past the check-in desks and follow the covered path outside to Boulder Ridge Villas. Right as you arrive, you’ll be greeted by rocking chairs overlooking lush greenery. Inside, you’ll find even more inviting spots: couches, a warm-lit fireplace, and cozy corners often free from crowds.

Reading by the fireplaces is great during the cooler months.

For an extra-special reading escape, step into the Carolwood Pacific Railway Room, located just beyond the fireplace. It features more plush seating and rocking chairs, along with fascinating displays about Walt Disney’s passion for trains. This quiet room honors the miniature railroad Walt built in his backyard, the Carolwood Pacific, and offers both inspiration and tranquility.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

The entire BoardWalk Resort area has a leisurely vibe, perfect for slowing down with a book. Walk through the lobby and continue straight to find doors that lead to a spacious covered patio. Several white rocking chairs and side tables line the area, offering a peaceful view over Crescent Lake. It’s an ideal spot to relax, reflect, and enjoy a gentle breeze.
