Starting from January 27th, the Grizzly Hall at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World will close its doors temporarily. This closure, however, is not an end but a new beginning for the beloved Country Bear Jamboree. Disney recently announced a major update to this classic attraction during the Destination D23 event, creating a buzz amongst avid Disney fans.
Refurbishment Schedule
Starting on January 27th, Grizzly Hall will be temporarily closed and is set to reopen its doors later in the summer.
A Revamped Musical Experience on the Horizon
Disney plans to reopen Grizzly Hall later this summer with a completely transformed show. This new act is set to overhaul The Country Bear Musical Jamboree as we know it. The revamp draws inspiration from Nashville’s musical revues, promising a refreshing and exciting experience for the audience. The revamped show is poised to make its grand debut in 2024.
The popular bears that have entertained us over the years will return to the stage, this time reinterpreting classic Disney songs in a unique country style. Fans can expect to hear their favorite Disney tunes in a new light, adding a fresh twist to the familiar melodies.
A Sneak Peek into the New Act
One of the highlights of the new show that was shared during the announcement is a country rendition of the song “The Bare Necessities” from “The Jungle Book”. This classic tune, loved by millions worldwide, will take on a new life in the hands of our talented bear musicians. The anticipation is already building amongst fans who can’t wait to see this classic song performed in a new style.

As we bid adieu to the old Country Bear Jamboree, we eagerly await the unveiling of the new act. While it’s a bittersweet moment for those who’ve grown up with the original show, it’s also a time to look forward to the new memories that will be created at the updated Country Bear Jamboree.
