Best Dining Spots For Large Families At Disney World

Vacationing as a large family can mean some extra planning and perhaps even a few challenges. Luckily, Disney World makes it easy for families of any size to enjoy their vacation together. Staying DVC and renting with DVC Shop is a great way for large families to all stay together and experience deluxe accommodations at a moderate price. As many large families know, it can be difficult to find restaurants that are set up to accommodate the size of your party. However, there are many restaurants throughout Disney World’s parks and resorts that are great for larger groups and big families. If your family is on the larger side and planning on visiting Disney World in the future then be sure to check out some of our favorite dining spots.

Biergarten at EPCOT

Located in the Germany pavilion within EPCOT’s World Showcase, Biergarten is a lively restaurant that was made for large groups and big families. The seating here consists of long picnic tables, and if your party is on the smaller size they will seat you with other families. If you have a large family you’ll get an entire table to yourself which makes the experience a bit more intimate, and also allows your entire party to sit together. The food at Biergarten is served buffet-style which is also great for large families so everyone can serve themselves at their own pace. A live German folk band will serenade you while you dine and enjoy each other’s company.  German favorites like sausage, schnitzel, and other favorites await you at Biergarten’s authentic buffet.

Teppan Edo at EPCOT

Another restaurant within EPCOT’s World Showcase that has great accommodations for large families and bigger groups is Teppan Edo. Located in the Japan pavilion, this restaurant also has large tables with enough seating for 8 people. If you have less than 8 people in your party then you will be sat with other families, but families that are larger will be able to enjoy sitting together at their own table. Something unique about Teppan Edo is that it is a restaurant and a show. Your Teppan chef cooks your meal with a hot hibachi grill in the center of  your table. Guests can enjoy time together with their family while they dine on Japanese dishes that are cooked fresh and authentically.

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom’s Crystal Palace is a wonderful character buffet that is open for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Character meals are great for large families because it provides an opportunity for all members of the family to have meaningful interactions with characters without waiting in long lines. Crystal Palace is where guests can enjoy classic American food served buffet-style while they meet Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. Breakfast consisting of freshly made omelets, breakfast meats, Mickey waffles, and more can be found here. Lunch and dinner consists of freshly carved prime rib, mashed potatoes, mac n’ cheese, salmon, and so much more.
