Disney’s Boardwalk is the perfect blend of a deluxe resort and a space for entertainment. Guests can access the boardwalk by walking from EPCOT’s International Gateway, walking from Hollywood Studios, or by taking a boat from EPCOT’s International Gateway or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The boardwalk is also within walking distance to Disney’s Beach Club Resort. When you enter the boardwalk you enter a space that feels like an Atlantic-style boardwalk that one might find in New England. The boardwalk has restaurants, bars, live entertainment, and its very own dance club. Atlantic Dance Hall is located on the far side of the boardwalk in a large building with “Atlantic Dance Hall” printed on the side. Many guests don’t realize that this building is a dance club that is open nightly from 8pm-1am. If you’re curious to learn more, then continue reading all about Atlantic Dance Hall.
History
Atlantic Dance Hall opened with the boardwalk in 1996. The dance hall began as a retro-style dance hall dedicated to the music of the 60s and 70s. In the 90s, club culture was huge and people would flock to nightclubs and dance halls. Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, had an entire area dedicated to nightlife and dance clubs. Atlantic Dance Hall is a large building with a big dance floor with a video projector for visuals on the wall, two floors filled with tables and chairs, two large bathrooms with one on each floor, an outdoor patio overlooking the water, and three bars. When Atlantic Dance Hall first opened it attracted guests who enjoyed throwback-style music and dancing. However as dance culture died down, so did the popularity of Atlantic Dance Hall.

Present Day
Today Atlantic Dance Hall isn’t typically very busy. Only one of the three bars is open and operating on a typical night. There’s still a live DJ playing music, usually from the 90s and early 2000’s. Lighting effects bring the dance floor to life while music videos play on the wall. The dance hall is still only open to those 21 and up, and it’s a great place to grab a drink with no wait. The spacious dance floor makes for a fun night out with friends or family, even if there aren’t very many people participating. Since it’s open until 1am, it is the latest running business on the boardwalk. If you’re a night owl then you can definitely have fun dancing and lounging at Atlantic Dance Hall.

Overall
Overall, Atlantic Dance Hall is a fun venue that deserves more love and attention from guests. It’s a great spot to visit if you’re celebrating a birthday, bachelor or bachelorette party, or just because. Atlantic Dance Hall can also be rented for private events and wedding receptions.
