D23 Gold Members have a new reason to spend an afternoon in World Showcase this summer. EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion is hosting a private event built around tequila, traditional cuisine, and a few notable pieces of Disney and Mexican history. The experience pairs guided tastings with a curated meal and a handful of keepsakes designed just for the occasion. Here is a full look at what the event involves, how much it costs, and what you need to know before booking.
What the Event Is and When It Takes Place

The event is called The Mexico Pavilion: A Taste of History, and it is a D23 Experience held at EPCOT. It takes place on July 14, 2026, beginning at 12:45 p.m. at La Hacienda de San Angel and wrapping up at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Over the course of the afternoon, guests move through several components inside the Mexico pavilion, combining a tequila tasting, an exclusive cocktail experience, and a seated meal. Each portion comes with its own keepsake, so attendees leave with more than just the memories. Here are the event details:

La Cava Experience
A private guided tasting with Tequila Ambassador Humberto Soto of six (6) premium agave spirits, ranging from blanco to aged tequilas, plus an artisanal mezcal.
- Also includes chips and guacamole as a palate cleanser, and a keepsake “Agave Connoisseur Club” pin.
- Guests will receive a commemorative tequila cocktail glass with the La Cava Tequila logo etched by Arribas Brothers.

La Cava del Tequila
Enjoy “The Aztec Eagle,” a D23 Member-exclusive cocktail at La Cava Tequila. This beverage, created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives, pays tribute to a historical moment. That moment was when Walt Disney was honored by the Mexican government with the Order of the Aztec Eagle, during a visit to Mexico City in 1943! In addition, guests will be among the first to sample the new aged in-house “Anniversary Old Fashioned,” celebrating the 17th Anniversary of La Cava del Tequila.
- Guests will receive a stainless-steel beverage sphere with an Arribas Brothers-etched “23.”

San Angel Inn
- Guests will have an unforgettable meal with a curated tasting menu made just for this event, showcasing some of the restaurant’s most beloved and traditional dishes through the years since its grand opening of EPCOT in 1982, and tracing its roots even further back to a Mexico City culinary institution. Guests will select an appetizer, main course, and dessert from the tasting menu included in the ticket, plus a San Angel Inn margarita (as served in the original San Angel Inn restaurant in Mexico City).
- To commemorate the lunch, guests will receive a replica of the original 1982 San Angel Inn menu.
- Guests will also receive an event credential.
Ticket Prices and How to Book
Tickets are priced at $349 plus a $3 processing fee, bringing the total to $352. Sales begin on June 12 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time through the official D23 event page.
A few additional requirements apply. Guests must have valid admission to EPCOT to attend, and that admission along with parking is not included in the event ticket. You will need to plan for park entry separately.
Who Can Attend
This event is limited to D23 Gold Members. Because the experience centers on tequila and other spirits, all attendees must be 21 years of age or older and carry a valid government-issued ID.
Guests with dietary needs should plan ahead as well. Allergy-friendly and dietary requests should be submitted to D23 Guest Relations at least 48 hours in advance, since day-of requests may not be accommodated.
Conclusion
With a guided tasting, an exclusive cocktail tied to a 1943 honor bestowed on Walt Disney, a curated meal at San Angel Inn, and several keepsakes, the July 14 event offers a structured way to experience the Mexico pavilion in greater depth. If you are an eligible member who meets the age requirement, mark June 12 on your calendar and have your EPCOT admission sorted before tickets go on sale.
