While the dining options at Disney’s Old Key West Resort may be slim, they are delicious! Read on for a complete guide of the dining options at Old Key West!
Olivia’s Cafe
The first location on this list is, in my opinion, the best restaurant on Disney World property. Olivia’s Cafe is worth the trip to Disney’s Old Key West Resort, even if you are not staying there. Olivia’s Cafe is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for brunch and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for dinner. This easy, breezy restaurant has several delicious options to choose from. However, my personal favorite dish is the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken. At $25.00, it comes with mashed potatoes, southern gravy, biscuits, and seasonal vegetables, and this dish can’t be missed. This dish is so good that guests can order it for both brunch AND dinner. If chicken is not appealing to you, I recommend the $17.00 Banana Bread French Toast. It’s topped with a Bahamian banana rum Syrup, Crème Anglaise, and whipped cream. It also comes served with crispy bacon or sausage. Yum!
Good’s Food to Go
The second location on my list is a quick-service style delight. Good’s Food to Go serves easy Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner offerings. In the mornings, nothing is better than picking up a $12.49 Breakfast Platter. It comes with a hearty portion of scrambled eggs, a Mickey-shaped Waffle, bacon, and potatoes. It’s delicious! Plus, it is the perfect pre-park day fuel. For lunch or dinner, I recommend grabbing a classic hot dog for $9.79 or some crispy chicken tenders for $10.99. This location is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks
This poolside delight, Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks, is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For a snack, I recommend the classic Nestle Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich for $6.29. You cannot visit Walt Disney World without having this treat at least once. If you’re looking for something more substantial, you can’t go wrong with the delicious Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich. It’s 11.99, and it comes with a side of coleslaw or house-made chips. If you don’t want a chicken dish, the Power Salad is $13.29 and is worth the price. It is made with mixed greens, edamame, garbanzo beans, roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, and quinoa with key lime-mustard vinaigrette. It is simply delicious. Enjoy!
Gurgling Suitcase
Last but certainly not least is the Gurgling Suitcase. The Gurgling Suitcase is open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day. It serves appetizers and entrees that are available until 9:00 p.m., with beverages avalible until 11:00 p.m. I love the $5.99 Pomegranate Lemonade. It is a cool Minute Maid® Premium Lemonade with Pomegranate and Lime Juices. For an appetizer and entree selection, I recommend the $11.00 Barbecued Pulled Pork Nachos. It is House-made Potato Chips topped with Jalapeños, Pepper Jack, Mozzarella, Pico de Gallo, and Sour Cream. And, as you would find at Olivia’s, if you’re in the mood for the Southernmost Fried Chicken, that $25.00 classic dish is served here, too. Can you tell it’s a popular dish?
I hope this guide encourages you and your family to dine at Disney’s Old Key West Resort on your next Walt Disney World vacation. Take it from me, it won’t disappoint.
