Discover 4 Hidden Tasty Snacks At Disneyland

We all know the iconic Disneyland snack staples—the churro, Mickey bar, turkey leg. These beloved treats are so ingrained in the Disney experience that they’ve even earned their own merchandise lines, with themed shirts, mugs, and keychains that celebrate them. But while these classic snacks are hard to beat, what about the hidden gems? The lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path treats that, while not as famous, still pack a punch in both flavor and nostalgia.

These hidden snacks may not have the same level of fanfare as the churro or turkey leg, but they’re just as deserving of a spot on your snack list. Let’s dive into some of these secret culinary delights that can be found around the Disneyland Resort!

Tigger Tail at Pooh Corner

Tucked away in the farthest corner of Disneyland within Critter Country, beyond Hungry Bear Restaurant and even further past The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride, you’ll find Pooh Corner. This charming little shop isn’t just a hidden gem, it’s a full-on delightful experience with shelves of tasty treats and a whimsical interior decked out in honey pots, buzzing bees, and all things Pooh.

One of the standout snacks exclusive to this location is the iconic Tigger Tail, made up of a marshmallow wand coated in caramel, dipped in orange-flavored white chocolate, and finished with a drizzle of dark chocolate stripes. It’s the perfect sweet pick-me-up to keep you bouncing through your Disney day.

As an extra bonus, just outside the shop is the Winnie the Pooh character meet-and-greet area, making it an ideal spot to snap an aesthetic photo with your delicious treat!

Dole Whip® Pineapple and Strawberry Swirl

Pineapple Dole Whip has been a Disneyland snack staple since 1986, offering the perfect sweet refreshment on a hot park day. If you’re a Disneyland regular, you probably know about the “secret” spot to grab one—located within Adventureland inside the queue for the Enchanted Tiki Room. Just a few steps around the corner from that stand is The Tropical Hideaway, which expands on Dole Whip offerings with both classic and seasonal twists. One fan-favorite is the Dole Whip swirl with strawberry—a fruity, refreshing treat that’s as photogenic as it is delicious.

While you’re there, be sure to say hello to Rosita, the charming animatronic bird who flew the coop from the Tiki Room and is now waiting for her boat to whisk her away to a star-studded career in showbiz!

The Disneyland Pickle

Depending on how often you visit Disneyland, this might not qualify as a hidden snack—but for pickle lovers, it’s definitely a must-know! Disneyland offers some surprisingly great pickles: crisp, tangy, and super refreshing—especially on a warm park day. You can find these tasty treats at fruit carts located throughout the different “lands” of Disneyland Park, as well as at Mortimer’s Market, Fairfax Market, and Fillmore’s Taste-In over in Disney California Adventure. They’re individually packaged and come in a few varieties, including classic dill, sour, and spicy.

For the ultimate pickle moment, I recommend grabbing one from the fruit cart at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., then finding a bench with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, enjoy your snack, and soak in a bit of Disney magic. If you’re looking for an extra magical moment, try to be the first Guest to grab a pickle as you might just receive the unofficial “First Pickle of the Day” award!

Morning Coffee with Edible Rainbow Glitter

Inside the Pixar Place Hotel, you’ll find The Sketch Pad Café, a cozy and quiet spot perfect for relaxing before starting your day. Not only does the café serve up delicious coffee, but it also offers a unique, magical twist—edible Rainbow Glitter!

To get the full effect of the glitter’s sparkle, the baristas recommend adding a dollop of whipped cream to your drink, which makes the shimmering colors pop even more. We tried it on both a coffee and matcha, and the glitter was the perfect touch to make each sip feel extra special. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot Bing Bong making a surprise visit in the lobby, adding an extra bit of Disney magic to your experience.

Next time you’re visiting the Disneyland Resort, take a break from the usual snack routine and seek out these hidden treasures. You never know, you might just discover your new favorite treat that isn’t available in every souvenir shop but is equally magical in its own right. After all, part of the fun of Disney is finding those little surprises that make your experience feel extra magical. Soon, we will be able to report back on all of the new food and snacks debuting for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration!

Happy snacking!
