Staying on Disney property at Disney resorts is a great way to add even more magic to your vacation. When you stay at a Disney resort you never have to leave the magic. And with complimentary Disney transportation to and from the parks and Disney Springs, you can relax knowing that your resort room will be there waiting for you at the end of a long Disney day. Staying DVC is the perfect way to experience deluxe accommodations, and when you rent with DVC Shop you can experience this at a moderate price. DVC resorts are so much more than just a place to sleep at night. There are many activities that are included with your stay; continue reading to learn more about them.
Pools and Water Activities
DVC resorts are home to some of the best pools, splash zones, and water activities that you can find on Disney property. Because DVC resorts are deluxe resorts, there will be several pools available to choose from at each resort. The main pool of each resort will have a water slide, as well as a dedicated splash zone or playground for little ones to enjoy. Some of our favorite DVC pools include Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club, which has a zero-depth entry pool with a sandy bottom and a lazy river. Another popular pool is Disney’s Polynesian’s Lava Pool. This pool has a twisting volcano waterslide that is 142 feet-long, zero-depth entry, and a nearby pool bar.

If you aren’t thrilled about swimming in pools then check out DVC resorts along the lakeside like Disney’s Grand Floridian, Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. These resorts allow guests the opportunity for enchanting extras like fishing excursions, boat rentals, and other waterside activities.
Community Hall
Many guests don’t realize that most DVC resorts have a Community Hall that hosts free crafts, activities, and hosts other fun events! Guests can check with the front desk upon check-in for a list of activities that week or simply walk in and check it out. Community Halls are a great place to hang out during rainy days or days off from the park. Guests can also check out tabletop games or rent DVDs to take back to their room.

Campfire Activities and Movies Under the Stars
Many DVC resorts host nightly campfire activities and also movies under the stars. Guests can check with the front desk to see a list of scheduled events. What better way to end your Disney night than with a movie outside, or with some quality family time by the fire.

Deluxe Transportation
One massive perk in staying DVC is the option of deluxe transportation. The Disney bus system is always free and reliable, but when you stay at certain DVC resorts you have even more options for getting to and from the parks. When you stay at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, or Disney’s Polynesian Resort, you’ll have monorail access which gives you a quick and easy way to get to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. When you stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort, you’ll have access to the Disney Skyliner which will take you to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
