If you’re a fan of Disney Princesses, there are endless opportunities for Magical Moments at Walt Disney World. From royal meet-and-greets to immersive attractions, you’ll find Disney Princesses and their companions at all four Walt Disney World Parks. While it may seem obvious that Cinderella and the Royal Princess Court can be found at Magic Kingdom, it may come as a surprise that EPCOT is also home to many of the classic storybook princesses and other favorite leading ladies.
All over the World Showcase, guests can find Anna, Elsa, Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and Aurora. In addition, Asha, from the movie Wish, meets friends at the gazebo across from Disney Traders. For true princess admirers looking to enhance the ordinary autograph and photo opp during their visit to EPCOT, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall offers all-day character dining with 5 Disney Princesses in a castle-like dining room.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall during breakfast hours. We love to make a reservation at the end of breakfast hours in order to still take advantage of early entry and lower morning crowds in the parks, the lower price for character dining, and menu items that my children are guaranteed to eat and enjoy. Breakfast will cost each adult $55 and children $35, while lunch and dinner will cost adults $63 and children $43. Breakfast hours run from 8:30AM – 12:10PM.
The breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall did not disappoint, providing a delicious meal with plenty of choices in an enchanting environment. The meal is served family style with the option to order more of any item. The first course consists of sweet pastries and danishes served alongside meats, cheeses, and fresh fruit.
For the main course, guests receive a platter of warm breakfast favorites. An assortment of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, Norwegian heart-shaped waffles, and a cheesy potato casserole will please all palettes and ages of guests in your travel party. While syrup is served, you are invited to spread a Nordic berry compote on your waffles instead, for a more immersive dining experience in the Norway Pavilion. Gluten-free and plant-based menu items are available upon request.
While the food truly does not disappoint, the true stars of the experience are the Disney Princesses that gracefully move from table to table throughout the meal greeting guests and meeting their biggest admirers. Have your autograph books and cameras ready to capture the magic of your encounter. On the day of our visit, we dined with Princess Tiana, Princess Ariel, Princess Aurora, Snow White, and Belle, however the available princesses are subject to change. The princesses will also promenade around the dining hall to a special song approximately every 30 minutes. Afterwards, they will be royally reintroduced before returning to greeting guests at their tables.
Dining inside of a royal banquet hall was genuinely like a fairytale and a must-do for lovers of all Disney Princesses. The gorgeous stonework, vaulted ceilings, and stained-glass windows set the stage for a unique and memorable meal and one to which I would most definitely return. The excellent service from smiling cast members who hail from Norway was the cherry on top of an already first-rate character meal.
With so many must-ride attractions, festival offerings, and snacks to try at EPCOT, it may be difficult to catch all of your favorite Disney princesses at this park. Choosing character dining for breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall may help you to meet your favorite Disney Princesses without waiting in separate lines while providing a delicious meal that will keep you fueled for a day full of fun at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
