The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is making notable progress towards the addition of its newest property, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Recently, Disney has taken a significant step by filing for a timeshare sales license. This move marks the commencement of the sales process for this new property, indicating that DVC is actively working on integrating The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort into their vacation club portfolio.
Regulatory Filings & Construction Permits
Earlier in the month, we shared news about construction permits related to the project. It’s important to highlight that such routine filings are mandated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in Florida for the construction and sale of new timeshare properties. As per DBPR guidelines, every developer of a single-site timeshare plan must file with the division. These filings comply with the Florida Statutes as outlined in DBPR Form TS 6000-4, Index to Vacation Rentals & Timeshare Projects.
Projected Opening & Sales
The anticipated opening of The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is set for 2024. This property will become the 17th resort under the Disney Vacation Club, following the recent grand opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Considering the expected sellout of Grand Floridian, it is likely that sales for this new property will commence by Spring 2024.
