Disney has just released more information on the anticipated return of “Happily Ever After” and “Epcot Forever”. Both of these beloved nighttime spectaculars will be returning to their respective parks on April 3rd!
Magic Kingdom
Beginning April 3rd, Magic Kingdom will once again be home to the firework show “Happily Ever After”. “Happily Ever After” ran before “Disney Enchantment” debuted on October 1, 2021 for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. Many guests have expressed that they missed “Happily Ever After” and Disney announced back in September that it would be returning.
Epcot
In Epcot, “Harmonious” will be having its final show on April 2nd. “Harmonious” also debuted on October 1, 2021 for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration and brought with it the large barges in the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon. Disney confirmed today that the firework platforms will be removed with a “phased removal”. This news was happily accepted by many who did not like the look of the large barges on the World Showcase Lagoon.
“Epcot Forever” will return to Epcot beginning April 3rd for a limited time. Also announced in September, a new nighttime spectacular will be making its’ debut in Epcot sometime this year, but no other details have been revealed at this time. We now know though that the “Harmonious” barges will not be used.
