Disney+ is set to raise the prices of the existing subscription option, and launch a new ad-supported subscription tier on December 8th, 2022. The new tier will be available to all Disney+ users and will include ads for both Disney and other companies. This move by Disney comes as they prepare to compete with the likes of Netflix. Advertisers are already lining up to take advantage of the large audience that Disney+ will provide
With the debut, a new and comprehensive range of subscription packages will be made available across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the Disney Bundle, allowing customers more choices in selecting one that matches their needs.

How The New Ad-Supported Tier Works
The ad-supported tier will offer the same content as the current Disney+ subscription, with ads appearing during and between shows. Advertisers will also have the ability to target specific demographics with their ads. This move by Disney is sure to shake up the streaming landscape and provide even more competition for Netflix and Hulu.
