5 Important Disneyland Updates for June 2024

Summer is here and what a perfect time to visit The Disneyland Resort! If you are headed to the California parks this month for some summer fun, here are a few announcements you should know while planning your trip.

1. Dr. Strange Show is Coming to an End

The Dr. Strange show, Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts is permanently closing in Disney California Adventure park. The last day to see this show is June 29, 2024. Show times are listed in The Disneyland App. Head to the Ancient Sanctum located in Avenger’s Campus and be sure to check out it before it’s gone.

2. Anger has arrived at Disney California Adventure Park

You can now meet “Anger” from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside out 2. You can find Anger on Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park located at the band shell! Guests can also see Anger, as well as the rest of The Emotions from Inside out 2 during an all-new water short that will play before World of Color – One.

3. Magic Key Sales have Paused

Magic Key sales have once again paused and are on longer for sale. Magic Keys are Disneyland’s Annual pass program. Sales for Magic Keys resumed on March 5, 2024 and resumed until they were paused indefinitely on June 5, 2024. Disneyland officials have stated Disneyland is currently managing the program. At this time Key holders may renew during their renewal window. We will be sure to update if sales resume.

4. Attraction Updates

Attractions that are currently closed in the month of June are Haunted Mansion, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. No opening dates have been announced. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure is set to re-open on Friday, June 21.

5. Important Dates to Remember

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is June 18 and 20, 2024 at Disneyland.  The Park will close at 8:00 PM for guests without an after-hours event ticket so please plan accordingly!
