Registration Details for the Annual Meetings
DVC members can now register for the association meetings, scheduled to take place from December 10-12, 2024, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. A recent legal change in Florida mandates quarterly Board of Directors meetings for all Florida-based condominium associations, alongside annual meetings for other properties. This shift aims to enhance transparency and member involvement across all resorts. Members are encouraged to RSVP by December 6th through the DVC members-only website to secure their spot.
Meeting Schedule and Key Sessions
The annual meetings are spread over two days, with sessions dedicated to specific resorts. On December 10, meetings will begin at 8:30 AM, covering properties such as Copper Creek Villas & Cabins and Bay Lake Tower. The following day, December 11, will feature resorts like Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.
Only members who own points at these resorts can participate in their respective sessions. These meetings aim to formalize the budgeting process for 2025 and address any outstanding issues while offering a platform for members to voice their questions and concerns.
Special Arrangements for California Resorts
For members with interests in the California properties, a simulcast will be available from the Adventure Tower at Disneyland Hotel. This setup ensures that members who cannot travel to Florida still have access to the discussions and can stay informed about developments affecting their home resorts.
The Member Reception: A Look Back and Forward
On December 12, a Member Gathering and Reception will take place at 11:00 AM. This event offers a retrospective of the year’s events and achievements, alongside a preview of upcoming changes for 2025. It’s a chance for members to celebrate the community and gain insights into the future direction of their vacation club experience.
