Dining Overview
The Mara is a beautiful quick service dining location located near the Uzima Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The interior of the restaurant has stunning, colorful murals along the walls that you can spend and hour examining. There is also a TV that plays Disney shows, which can be the perfect distraction for your children while you enjoy a more relaxed meal.
The Mara offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is also open for long hours which is perfect for guests looking to grab a late night snack. The coolers offer plenty of options, even numerous allergy friendly treats.
The food is all very fresh tasting at this dining location and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are also quite generous. The Mara offers an extensive menu list for each type of meal, with lunch and dinner both identical menus other than the roasted chicken meal that is only served after 5PM. There is something for everyone, as the menu is mostly American based with subtle African flavors in some of the entrees. The bacon cheeseburger, for example, was very subtly seasoned berber spice that gave it just a little hint of uniqueness compared to a standard American burger, but mild enough any picky eater would still enjoy it.
A large portion of the menu can also be customized for allergies and dietary restrictions which makes this a great stop for anyone looking for a good and hearty meal.
