The Walt Disney World Resort is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing a magical experience for all its guests. As part of this ongoing effort, two of the most popular pools at Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts – Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool, are scheduled for an extended refurbishment period beginning January 2025 and concluding in May 2025.

Maintenance Details
This five-month closure is aimed at performing routine maintenance on both pools, ensuring they continue to offer the high-quality experience that guests have come to expect from Disney properties. During this period, guests staying at the resorts may witness some construction activities during daytime hours.
Pool Alternatives At Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
While Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool undergo their refurbishment, guests need not worry about missing out on their water fun. Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts have alternative options available. Guests are encouraged to make use of the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools instead.
These pools offer a variety of swimming experiences. The Tidal Pool, known for its serene and relaxed atmosphere, is perfect for those seeking a peaceful swim. The Admiral Pool, on the other hand, offers more active fun with water slides, while Dunes Cove provides a family-friendly environment with shallow waters for younger swimmers.
Looking Forward
While this might be slightly disruptive, the end goal is to enhance the overall guest experience in the long run. After all, at Disney, the magic never stops; it simply flows from one experience to the next.
