runDisney’s Springtime Surprise Weekend is coming back in 2023 for it’s second year and it’s bringing new themes for it’s 5K, 10K, 10 Miles, and 19.3 Miles races!
If you’re a fan of Pixar movies, then you won’t want to miss out on this race weekend. Club runDisney Gold & Platinum members will be able to register early on August 16th, 2022 at 10 a.m. eastern time on the runDisney.com website. General registration opens August 23rd, 2022 at 10 a.m. eastern time. Pixar fans also have the option to participate in the virtual race on August 26th, 2022 at 10:00 AM eastern time if you can’t make it to Walt Disney World for the in-person races.
This year’s Springtime Surprise Weekend will feature the following themes: Pixar Cars for the 5k (3.1 mile) event, Pixar Monsters for the 10k (6.2 mile) event, Toy Story for the 13.1 mile event, and all of them combined for the 10.5k (19.3 mile) event.

Participants must register for the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge, which includes all 3 races, in order to receive the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge medal, plus all 3 event medals.
runDisney’s Springtime Surprise Weekend events sold out pretty quickly last year, so be sure to set a reminder if you’re looking forward to running through Walt Disney World with your favorite Pixar characters next year.
