Walt Disney World Resort is getting ready to roll out a new feature for its Annual Passholders – called ‘Good to Go’ days, and we finally have a sneak peek at what this user interface will look like for Annual Passholders using the My Disney Experience app.
Making Way for Spontaneous Park Visits
The ‘Good to Go’ days are a game-changer for Annual Passholders planning their visits to Walt Disney World Resort. From Thursday, January 11th, these special days will allow Passholders to visit any of the four theme parks without making a reservation beforehand.
On the My Disney Experience mobile app, these ‘Good to Go’ days will be marked with a green circle around the date on the Theme Park Reservation Calendar. This indicates that Passholders can visit the parks without a pre-booked park pass, allowing for more spontaneous trips. These special days will be released from time to time, and could be announced either days or weeks ahead. So, it’s a good idea to regularly check the app for updates.
Understanding Blockout Dates and Park Hopping Rules
While this new feature brings added flexibility, it’s crucial to note that blockout dates for each tier of annual passes will still be in effect.
Also, for those passholders planning to visit multiple parks in a day, as of today, they have the option to wait until after 2 p.m. or visit the park without a reservation on a ‘Good to Go’ Day. It’s worth noting that this excludes Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom. Apart from ‘Good to Go’ Days and park entry after 2 p.m., a Theme Park Reservation will still be necessary.
Adapting to the New System
This new system for Annual Passholders at Walt Disney World Resort marks a significant shift, promising to make park visits more flexible and spontaneous. With the ‘Good to Go’ days, Passholders can now enjoy their favorite parks without the need for advance reservations on selected days.
However, it’s important to stay in the loop with the Theme Park Reservation Calendar on the Walt Disney World Website or the My Disney Experience app to fully benefit from this new system.
A Fresh Take on the Disney Experience
In conclusion, the introduction of the ‘Good to Go’ days opens an exciting new chapter in the Disney experience for Annual Passholders. This feature, combined with the existing reservation system, provides a balance of flexibility and structure that caters to different visitor preferences. As we adapt to these changes, the charm of the Walt Disney World Resort continues to create unforgettable experiences with each visit.
