We recently had the privilege of staying the weekend at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. This resort was one of the first DVC resorts, and continues to give guests great experiences to this day. Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort is located near Disney Springs and even has a walking path that takes guests directly there. This resort also comes with boat access to Disney Springs, with continued access to Old Key West, and Port Orleans resorts. Saratoga Springs is a massive resort with many buildings making it pretty available to guests for reservations. This resort ended up being perfect for our weekend visit.
Our Room
We stayed in a standard deluxe studio located in the Paddock area of the resort. We were directly to the rear of the resort across the bridge from Carriage House. Our room was on the third floor, but there was elevator access for those who needed it. The studio room had a queen bed and a pullout couch, a kitchenette, a shower and tub, and a balcony. There was plenty of room for the two of us for the weekend. The balcony was nice for putting on sunscreen in the mornings.

The Carriage House
The main area of this resort is known as Carriage House. This is where you’ll find the main pool, lobby, quick-service restaurant, rentals, and sit-down restaurant. Saratoga’s quick-service restaurant is called Artist’s Palette and serves quick meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We utilized this quick-service restaurant for late night dinner when we enjoyed a Margherita Pizza. This was enjoyable and unique because it wasn’t like the typical “Disney pizza” that you get at other resorts.

We enjoyed exploring Carriage House but for a weekend trip we didn’t feel the need to spend a lot of time here. If you were planning on spending extended time at your resort then a preferred room near Carriage House might be something for you to consider.
The Pool
The Paddock Pool near our room was quite nice with a slide and a splash playground for children. We ended up walking across the bridge to the Carriage House pool because it was a bit bigger. The Carriage House Pool also had a waterslide, as well as two whirlpool spas. The nearby pool bar, On The Rocks, was definitely something we utilized during our visit. It was nice to sit by the pool with a drink and a small plate and relax near the water. Saratoga Springs having two feature pools as well as several leisure pools definitely put it a step above other deluxe resorts!

Walk to Disney Springs
One of our favorite things to do during the weekend visit was walk to Disney Springs. This was a major perk for us. We used the walking path to get to Disney Springs during our check-in day so we could transfer to Typhoon Lagoon. We also walked over to get Gideon’s first thing in the morning and grab a Peanut Butter Cold Brew. The walk was a bit long, I recall it taking us around 25 minutes, but it was scenic and worth it!

Overall, we loved our time at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Have you ever stayed here? What do you like about it? Let us know in the comments below!
