With the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival underway, so is one of our favorite events, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak! This is a scavenger hunt that takes Remy fans of all ages around the World Showcase. Some of these statues are easy to spot, however, there are a few trickier places that Remy is hiding this year. We went around and found exactly where to find Remy around the World Showcase!
How To Play
In order to enjoy the scavenger hunt guests will first need to purchase a map. The maps can be purchased at various locations around the park and cost $9.99 plus tax. You can use discounts when purchasing the maps to save a little bit of money also.
This year’s map looks absolutely fantastic, with a gorgeous Paris themed print on it. This is a much more elegant design that in past years, and we are certainly loving it.
The objective of Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak is that guests will have to search in 15 different areas in order to find 15 statues of Disney’s most famous Little Chef. Each statue is holding a different ingredient, and guests place the ingredient sticker on the corresponding location. The stickers this year are on a separate sheet, tucked into the folded map. Once you have your map you are ready to search!
It is worth noting, however, that you do not have to complete your map at all in order to get your prize, but where’s the fun in that? Also, you do not need to complete the map in one day, you can come back another time if you wish to take your search slow. If you don’t wish to leave the park without completing the map though, we can help you find some of the trickier Remy statues.
Remy Locations – SPOILERS!
The following contains spoilers for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak.
If you do not want help finding them, do not expand the various sections below. However, if you are not participating this year or simply need some help with one or two locations, you can click or tap to expand each section to see exactly where Remy is hiding for each location. Let’s get to it!
Coastal Eats
The first stop on our journey is the Coastal Eats Marketplace. You will find Remy at the top of the structure, nestled in between the two planters.
Remy is holding a copper pan, perfect for making his famous ratatouille in!
Mexico
You’ll be able to spot Remy at a favorite Mexico Pavilion dining location, La Cantina de San Angel. He is right above the sign!
The item Remy is holding blends into the building a bit but you can see that he has some yellow squash with him here.
China
You won’t need to go into the China Pavilion in order to spot Remy this year. He is located on the China Global Marketplace.
Remy is holding onto a pepper grinder that is as big as he is!
India
Since India does not have its own Pavilion in Epcot (yet?) you will need to look at the top of the Global Marketplace structure, to the right of the sign.
Remy has found some pungent garlic, a popular ingredient in many different food cultures.
Outpost
Don’t waste time looking on the Outpost for Remy, he is actually getting some sun on the rocks across the walkway.
Remy has a lovely bottle of vinaigrette with him at the Outpost!
Germany
The Germany Pavilion is a tricky one to find, partly because the ingredient blends in, and partly because Remy is blocked by the arches.
Look high above the Kunstarbeit in Kristall shop! This is the same spot he was in last year, so luckily we didn’t look too long for him
Here, Remy has some olive oil here with him.
Italy
You will want to head all the way to the back of the Italy Pavilion to find Remy. He is next to the statues on the top of Via Napoli.
Obviously Remy would choose to have tomatoes with him, it is Italy after all!
The American Adventure
Remy is on top of the Global Marketplace in The American Adventure, and his ingredient blends in perfectly with the flower boxes on either side of him.
With Remy in the American Adventure are one of the United States’ most popular veggies, bell peppers.
Japan
To look for Remy in the Japan Pavilion you will want to head to the red bridge past the koi pond. Here you might find some serenity, but you will also definitely find Remy.
Remy’s zucchinis blend in to all the beautiful foliage around him!
Tangierine Café
The best part about our next statue is that the map tells you exactly where to find it. No need to journey throughout Morocco to find the tiny chef, he is right up in the rafters of the Tangierine Cafe.
Remy has found some salt and pepper shakers, two spices that are popular among any cuisine.
Brazil
The Brazil booth is home to one of the tastiest items for the Emile’s Fromage Montage, and to another Remy statue. Check out the top left corner of the Global Marketplace booth to spot him.
It can be a little tough to tell, but Remy has some red onion with him here.
France
France is always difficult to spot Remy, only because there are so many possibilities for where he could be. He is a little turned around in the maze at the front of the pavilion. Do you see him?
Maybe he is trying to figure out how to get that eggplant out of the maze. Besides, he would never want to leave France anyway!
Canada
Head towards the totem poles in the Canada Pavilion for our next stop. He is located to the right of the Northwest Mercantile entrance.
He must of stolen this bread from the Canada Global Marketplace! They serve pretzel bread with the Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup (another Emile’s Fromage Montage item).
Refreshment Port
We got tricked here, since we were looking high up for Remy, but he is actually hiding among the garden flowers outside of Refreshment Port. Do you see him?
The only clue was the pop of orange of those carrots! Lucky for us he found them.
Australia
Last but not least is the Australia Global Marketplace. He is up on the right hand side of the sign.
He has found a few different types of herbs in some recycled containers.
Collect Your Prize!
Congratulations! You have found all of the Remy statues around the World Showcase! Now all that is left is to collect your grand prize. In order to do that you will want to take your map back to one of the redemption locations. They are:
- Disney Traders
- World Traveler
- Creations Shop
They will have a sign in front of the entrance like the one below.
Go right up to the counter and present your map and ask for your prize. This year you will be given the choice of one of four absolutely adorable lunch bags. You can choose from:
- Mickey Mouse
- Encanto
- Remy
- Figment
Not only are they adorable but also utilitarian! What a perfect item to help you carry snacks around the parks the remainder of your vacation!
Seriously, how cute are they? Not to mention they are insulated as well! We are so exited about the prize this year, are you?
