Disney has just released some impressive artist renderings of what the new Pixar Place Hotel, which overlooks the Disney’s California Adventure theme park, will look like once its renovations are completed.
This 15-story hotel is currently called the Paradise Pier Hotel, but over the next few months Disney will start to transition the hotel into a Pixar-themed playground for both young and old. The hotel will continue to be open to guests throughout the transition to its new look, and the artist rendering below should come to life sometime this winter!
Let’s take a look at what Disney has planned for the Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort!
New Lobby
Over the next few months, the hotel lobby will undergo a transformation that blends contemporary design with Pixar imagery. Upon completion, iconic Pixar characters will be featured prominently at the front desk in curated artwork, showcasing larger-than-life depictions from their films.
“Finding Nemo”-Themed Splash Pad
An all-new water play area inspired by “Finding Nemo” will be available for overnight guests to enjoy later this summer. Families can join the fan-favorite fish and his friends in a splashing good time. Shown in the artist rendering above, you can see Crush the sea turtle crowned on top of a reportedly 186-foot-long waterslide, as well as other Finding Nemo characters featured around the reimagined splash pad.
New Recreational Activities
Also, sometime later this year, a family play court inspired by Pixar’s famous short films will be added to the deck. Guests will be able to engage in interactive games and imaginative free play that celebrate favorite friends from popular Disney short films like “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” When it’s time to unwind, visitors can enjoy food and drinks under the love-struck umbrellas from “The Blue Umbrella”.
Great Maple – New Restaurant At Pixar Place Hotel
Along with all the other changes happening to bring Pixar Place Hotel to life, a new restaurant will debut at the resort this fall. Great Maple, a Southern California-based modern American eatery known for its playful take on upscale comfort food, will be opening on the ground floor of the resort.
The new restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long, and will be easily accessible to hotel guests, local diners, and theme park goers alike. In addition, Great Maple will feature a full bar offering beer, wine, and cocktails to perfectly complement its imaginative and delectable cuisine.
